1. Who are Technical Communicators?
Technical Communicators are highly skilled persons, experienced and trained in preparing instructional material for every-day use by consumers. A Technical Communicator has the exquisite capability of being able to write on any given topic – be it a product, service or business – in the simplest manner, explaining the often confusing complexities of technical jargon to the most non-technical mind. Communication is a major part of today’s technological scenario and is crucial to the furtherance of medicine, computer science, electronics, manufacture, and just about any field in which people need to interpret and use technology - hence such writers are indispensable in today’s business ecosystem.
2. What is Technical Communication?
Technical Communication is the process of simplifying information through writing or speech about a certain domain to an intended audience. Information becomes usable if the end user is able to perform an action or take a decision based on it. Technical Communicators work together to create literature for various media and also produce brochures, user manuals, online help matter, training projects, business papers and reports.
3. What is the TWB PGPTC?
The TWB PGPTC (Post Graduate Program in Technical Communication) is a program, currently offered by TWB. It is an ideal launching pad for graduates seeking a lucrative and career. It is a full-time course with a duration of one year. Training is approximately six hours per day - this is inclusive of Classroom sessions and Lab time.
4. How will the PGPTC help me?
For graduates who seek a corporate career, this course is a great option. Apart from the course being a one-year full-time one, it ensures in-depth training and grooms the candidate in the concepts of Technical Communication.
Job offer letters are provided on admission to the course for a minimum salary of Rs.3.8 lakhs p.a. These salaries normally have a growth rate of about 20% to 30% p.a. Not only does TWB provide an offer letter at the start of the course, but it also has a tie-up with over 300 other companies. Candidates are at liberty to choose from the job options available to them at the end of the course.

7. How do I get a prospectus?
Once you register, you will be prompted to apply for a prospectus. You can apply by online payment via credit/debit card, by DD, or by cash payment at our premises. The prospectus will be couriered to your current postal address.
8. Can I meet the training team?
Yes, if you have any questions related to the course content, you can meet the training team. Please call 080-65591081 for an appointment.

9. Will there be an entrance test or interview?
Yes, there will be an entrance test. An interview will be conducted for candidates who have successfully passed the test. The interview may also result in elimination.
10. What are the eligibility criteria?
Since this is a Post Graduate Program course, graduation is a must. Production of a graduation certificate is essential prior to the start of the course. However, candidates who have just completed their graduation may produce a Provisional Degree Certificate before the start of the course.
11. What are the facilities available?
• TWB has fully equipped training facilities in Bangalore and several partner-managed training centers
• TWB's air-conditioned facilities are equipped with laptops for each individual trainee, WiFi and broadband connectivity and continuous power.
• All training is delivered by a TWB trained and certified training team.
• Trainee batches range from 7 to 15 trainees in a training room, with a trainer and a trainer assistant. A good trainer-to- trainee ratio ensures that all trainees have optimum one-on-one trainer time

12. Can I take the program via distance education?
The TWB PGPTC is a classroom course and is not available online. However, there are other courses offered by TWB that can be done via distance education. Refer to www.twb.edu.in for more details.
